Tie Communications burst on the scene at the very beginning of the North American telecommunications revolution. At there founding in 1978, they firmly committed themselves to the design, manufacture and repair of the first generation of key telephone systems. Tie stands for Telephone Interconnect Equipment. Eventually, Nitsuko America bought Tie Communications telecom division.
Although Tie Communications is not making telephone systems under their own name, they have truly left their mark on the key system market. Being the innovators in a market when there wasn't many competitors, they created a wide range of business telephone systems for the small to medium sized office.
